Wooded campsites, Bonaventure, Gaspésie

Cime Aventures offers campsites with running water and a shelter! Enjoy the water activities on the Bonaventure river, the Wagamet community hall, concerts, the brand new playground for kids and access to the Bonaventure river. Dogs are welcome; details are below.

Your stay at Cime Aventure campground :

Naturally, you will want to explore the Bonaventure River by kayak, canoe, inflatable raft, or even with your own boat. You can also visit the St-Elzéar Cave, the oldest known cave discovered to date in Quebec.

On Site:

  • Access to the dock at all times for launching your boat or simply putting your feet in the water
  • Children’s playground located along the riverbank
  • Wagamet community hall (Wagamet means “clear water” in Mi’gmaq)
  • Evenings with entertainment and a shared campfire on our terrace overlooking the river
  • River access area on the cabin side. Accessible via a staircase, this small rocky area is too limited to accommodate both dogs and people. It is currently reserved for people only until further notice. Thank you for your understanding!
  • Free laundry facilities near the reception
  • Multiple restroom blocks located throughout the site
  • Dishwashing sinks are available at the ”Préau” and the Wagamet hall

Travelling with your dog?

We are happy to welcome you and your pup! Dogs on leashes are permitted on most of the site. That said, to accommodate visitors who prefer pet-free areas for various reasons (phobias, severe allergies, etc.), some camping units do not allow dogs. You will find full details for each unit during the reservation process.

  • River Access: Dogs are allowed at the river via the dock.

  • Restricted Areas: The river cabin area is off-limits to dogs, as the space is too restricted for harmonious cohabitation. Thank you for your understanding!

Curfew

The site curfew is at 11:00 PM: fires must be extinguished, and only whispering is permitted.

Wagamet Space and Community Hall

Enjoy the Wagamet space, which offers a communal fire, barbecues, picnic tables with a view of the river, a community hall, and vending machines with basic supplies, plus a children’s playground! Shows are broadcast sporadically during the summer, along with occasional social events.

Washroom Facilities

The washroom blocks (Wagamet, Reception, and Main) serving the site are equipped with several toilets and showers. Showers operate with a $1 coin for a 5-minute hot shower.

Laundry

A free laundry facility is available to campers.
