Detailed program of The Early bird

From July 21st to August 15th at 8:00 AM.

• Be at the reception at 7:30 AM No latecomers will be accepted.
• The shuttle departure will be at 8:00 AM sharp.
• Optional equipment rental (neoprene booties, neoprene suit, barrel)
• Viewing of the safety instructions video and signing of the forms
• Bus ride (approximately 45 minutes) to the launching point at km 45;
• Training before departure by a patroller who will be following the group;
• Descent of approximately 4.5 hours in a canoe, double kayak or single kayak;
• Take breaks so you don’t get too far ahead of the patroller, as the return shuttle will be the same for everyone;
• The last rest area is at the Trois-frères pit;
• The return shuttle will leave at approximately 3:15 PM. from Pit 56 (KM 29) once the entire group has returned. This time is approximate and depends on the pace of the group.
• Return to Cime Aventure around 4:00 PM.

Dog 🐕

We know your four-legged companions are part of the family, which is why they are more than welcome on the river! To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, here are the rules and details regarding our canine rate.

What’s Included in the Price:

• PFD (Personal Flotation Device) Rental: Safety first! A properly fitted life jacket is provided for your dog. However, its use on the water is at the owner’s discretion.

• Muzzle Rental: For everyone’s comfort, wearing a muzzle is mandatory during shuttle transport (for dogs with an appropriate snout).

For a Safe and Eco-Friendly River Trip:

• No Leashes on the Water: For your pet’s safety in the event of a capsize, dogs must never be tied to the watercraft or kept on a leash during the river descent.

• Responsibility: Owners are fully responsible for their dog’s behavior and reactions throughout the entire activity.

• Respecting Nature: Please pick up after your pet and dispose of waste responsibly in the designated trash cans.

Guide to choosing your boat

Here is the information you need to choose your boat for your activity on the Bonaventure River. Whether you are taking a family trip or a romantic vacation in Gaspésie, there is the perfect boat for you.

Double kayak

Capacity: 2 adults and a possibility of a child as 3^rd passenger / Max charge : 300 kg

Advantages: Stable, auto-bailing and unsinkable, easy to operate, even with only one person actively paddling. Comfortable seating and back rest. Space to strap in a waterproof barrel.

Disadvantages: Sitting lower than in a canoe, therefore, you get splashed more.

Prerequisites : Being at ease with water activities in general. No prior experience required.

Single kayak

Capacity: 1 passenger (over 11 years old) / Max charge : 150 kg

Advantages: Stable, auto-bailing and unsinkable, easy to operate. Comfortable seating and back rest. Space to strap in a waterproof barrel.

Disadvantages: Sitting lower than in a canoe, therefore, you get splashed more.

Prerequisites : Being at ease with water activities in general. No prior experience required.

Classic canoe

Capacity: 2 passengers / Max charge : 200 kg

Advantages: Comfortable, very spacious, can accommodate a child in the middle (without a seat)

Disadvantages: Less stable than our unsinkable boats. It is the type of boat that tips most often.

Prerequisites: One experienced person in the back is required.
