You have your own boats, are independent and all you need is a shuttle? You are at the right spot!
The shuttle service is for independent paddlers wishing to float down the Bonaventure River in one day with their own boat.
We facilitate 8 kms (Family tour) and 20kms (The Classic) trips.
All boats that have navigated elsewhere must be cleaned beforehand to protect the Bonaventure pristine water.
The Family Tour, 8 kms without rapid
Available from June 20th to August 25th. Reservations are mandatory.
Activity Description
Descent of about 1.5 to 2 hours. There is no rapid in this section of the pristine Bonaventure River. Want to take your time and relax? Depart starting at 11:00 AM! Departure is from Cime Aventure.
Logistics
Upon arrival at reception, all boats must be cleaned at the washing station available to you. Let’s be responsible in protecting our waterways!
- If your boat is inflatable, and you can take it with you on the bus, book for everyone in your group to take the shuttle that brings you back to Cime Aventure.
- If your boat is rigid and cannot be transported inside a bus, book for only one person in your group to take the bus back to Cime Aventure to pick up your own vehicle before returning to collect the boat and the rest of your group. Google route from Cime to the exit at km 1. Note that there is no parking at this location, only a 15-minute drop-off zone.

To ensure you don’t miss the bus: The river patrol closing the river leaves the dock at 1:30 PM and will be the last person to board the bus, so you must depart before the last patroller. The shuttle that brings your driver back to your vehicle runs continuously between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM.
The Classic, 20 kms with a few rapids
Looking for things to do in Gaspésie? The Bonaventure River is a must-see. The Classic is our most popular descent and features just enough action with its Class 1 and 2 rapids. A perfect activity for active beginners. A must-do in the Baie-des-Chaleurs; by canoe, double kayak, or single kayak.

4 to 5-hour descent. Class 1 and 2 rapids.

Arrival: Cime Aventures (Km 9)
Logistics
- Book The Classic and select the ¨personal boat¨ option.
- Drop off your boat on the ¨personal boat¨ trailer at the reception between 5:00 PM the day before your departure and 9:00 AM on the day of your activity.
- You board the bus departure you reserved, in front of the reception.
- You will find your boat at the put-in point.
- You go down the river at the same time as people using our rental boats.
- At the end of your descent, you will be at Cime Aventure base, where your car is located.
- You can pick up your boat near the dock in a short-term drop-off zone.

Prepare for your trip
At Cime Aventure, we facilitate independent access to the Bonaventue River and are sensitive to the introduction and spread of invasive aquatic species. If your boat has navigated different bodies of water in the last month, you must wash your boat before launching! A washing station is available directly on site.
- You are entirely self-sufficient on the route. The activity takes place in a natural environment without cellular network coverage available;
- Self-assess your skills by clicking here;

- Remember to bring ropes and other equipment to secure your gear in your craft;
- Be aware that the flow rate influences the experience on the river. The lower the river, the more obstacles there are to avoid. The river is considered low when below 10 cubic meters per second on this route. Check the real-time flow of the Bonaventure River.
