Located in Saint-Alphonse village (23 km from Cime Aventure in Bonaventure), the Domaine des Chutes du Ruisseau Creux is a true peaceful haven in the heart of Gaspésie! This stunning natural site is a prefect playground for hiking enthusiasts and outdoor lovers. Reconnect with nature as you follow the famous Bonaventure River, and let yourself be charmed by the wild beauty of the crystal-clear streams flowing through the forest.
Highlights & Key Features
The Suspension Bridge
Stretching 81 metres across the main River, this impressive suspension bridge marks the starting point for all our hiking trails. It is also an ideal public launch site for your own non-motorized watercraft (kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, etc.).
🛶 Paddlers & Water Enthusiasts: Before putting your boat in the water, don’t forget to fill out the ZEC form to get your river access permit. It’s completely free!

The Hiking Trails
Our network of trails invites you to discover three magnificent, picturesque waterfalls. Wondering if our routes run right along the water? The answer is a big yes! It’s the perfect setting for a walk surrounded by the soothing sound of the river.
Pet-Friendly Site 🐕
Your four-legged companions are more than welcome here! Dogs are happily permitted on all our trails as well as in all our accommodations (note that additional fee applies for overnight stays with pets).
How to get there (Directions)
From Cime Aventure, you have two route options to reach Domaine des Chutes:
A 23-km route along a gravel road.
A 40-km route along paved roads.
For your driving comfort and to preserve your vehicle’s mechanics, we strongly recommend taking the paved route!
⚠️ HEADS UP / ATTENTION! About 300 metres before arriving, Google Maps directions are not up to date and will instruct you to turn left. PLEASE FOLLOW THE ROAD SIGNS for Domaine des Chutes du Ruisseau Creux from this point on!
On-Site Infraestructures & Facilities
The Hearth (Le Foyer)
Located about 100 metres from the suspension bridge, this cozy shelter is easy to acces at all times. Equipped with chairs and a wood stove, it’s the perfect spot to take a warm break. Visitors will find a site map, an outhouse (dry toilet), and firewood provided on-site to warm up by a cozy fire.
Parking
Parking area is available right near the suspension bridge, easy to acces via Chemin de la Rivière.
Terego Members
The main parking have 3 spaces specifically reserved for Terego members. These spots are marked directly in the area. (Note that these overnight stays need to be self-managed via the Terego platform).
Lumberjack Warming Hut – Relais camp de bûcheron
A cozy, shared shelter open in all seasons thanks to its comforting wood stove. Available to everyone during day hikes.*Day use only. No reservations neither overnight stays.

| Sentier des Archers | Begins at the left of the suspension bridge. It is a loop route that brings you back to the suspension bridge via the ATV trail. | Easy / Technical (many tree roots) 2 km one-way |
| Sentier du Mont Chauve | Begins at the left of the suspension bridge, starting just before the Sentier des Archers ends. Offers stunning views of the Bonaventure River and leads to the Observation Tower (mountain lookout). (Note: Trail is closed beyond the observation tower). | Intermediate 4.8 km one-way |
| Sentier de la Rivière | Begins at the right of the suspension bridge. Cross the small footbridge and follow signs. At the junction of the Sentier le Bûcheron, keep straight to stay on the River Trail. | Sentier Le Bûcheron | Begins halfway along the Sentier de la Rivière. At the intersection, leave the Sentier de la Rivière and head up the slope ahead of you. This trail grants access to the Ruisseau Creux Waterfall. | Intermediate 2.5 km one-way |
